I just released Native Unity VOX Reader, an open-source tool that lets you drag & drop .vox files directly into Unity, with no intermediate export steps.

I was tired of the usual OBJ → mesh fixes → material fixes workflow, so I built a native importer that treats .vox files like real Unity assets.


Key Features

  • Greedy Meshing – Reduces polygon count by up to 90%.
  • Automatic Hierarchy – Supports Groups & Transforms (nTRN / nGRP) exactly like MagicaVoxel.
  • Texture Baking – Automatically creates a single texture atlas, keeping Draw Calls = 1.
  • UPM Support – Just paste the Git URL and you’re ready to go.

Open Source & Free
This project is completely free and released under the MIT License. You can use it in personal or commercial projects with no restrictions.
